    This is a must read book and indie author worth following.
    This follows Rist & Rory in their journey from being King Oberon's soldiers to friends to lovers and the ultimate release of Prince Crispin of the Frosted Fae. Crispin is Rist's younger brother, who is captured by Oberon after an invasion of Daaerin, which results in the loss of entire family and most of the people. Rist searches the country of Gaerith to find Crispin only to find Rory, a half Fae, in army of Oberon. She seems loyal to Oberon, but is she?
    While they hate each other, the tension and feelings that grow begs the question of what they grow into? Does Rist save Crispin and lose Rory? Do they save each other and lose Crispin?
    You are just going to have to read this gripping, page turning, emotional roller coaster of a book to find out.

It’s like reading a fairytale the way the author narrates the story and how the characters speak it’s all very whimsical!!     I’m often wary of prequels, but I absolutely devoured this one. The author suggests reading it after the first book, Frost, and I think that would be perfect. However, I read it after the second book, and that placement worked wonderfully too.

    This prequel beautifully blends familiar characters with parts of the story you don’t yet know, adding depth and intrigue to the series. It’s easily one of the best prequels I’ve ever read. I’m looking forward to the next book!
